Who we are

"Shatrat" runs a platform for booking home-cleaning services in Jordan, through a customer app and a cleaner app. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.

What we collect from customers

  • Account: your phone number (you sign in with a code sent to it), your name and app language.
  • Addresses: your home as a pin on the map, and anything you optionally add: a label, building, floor, apartment, nearest landmark and access notes. We derive the area from the pin itself.
  • Bookings: the service, duration, time, tasks and their order, notes, optional details about the home, ratings and complaints.
  • Location: we read your device's location only when you ask (the "My location" button on the map).
  • Voice booking (optional): the recording is sent to be turned into text and then deleted immediately; neither the app nor our servers keep it.

What we collect from cleaners

  • Phone number, name and gender, national ID number and date of birth — encrypted in our database.
  • Home location as a pin, chosen travel distance, working days and hours, and services.
  • The documents needed for approval (ID, police clearance, health certificate). They are scanned for viruses and stored privately, never published; only review staff can open them, and every access is logged.
  • Live location while available for work, to offer nearby jobs. Customers do not see it.
  • Earnings and settlement records.

Technical data

We keep operational logs to protect the service and diagnose faults, with phone numbers partly masked, and we use a hashed fingerprint of IP addresses to limit abuse rather than storing them as they are. Your device push token is used to send booking notifications.

Who sees what

  • A cleaner sees the area and time before accepting a job, the exact address only after accepting, and the customer's phone number only once she is on her way.
  • A customer sees the cleaner's name, rating and number of jobs, and her phone number only once she is on her way.
  • We do not sell your data or use it for other companies' advertising.

Service providers we rely on

  • Google Cloud for hosting and file storage, and Google Maps for the map in both apps.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications.
  • OpenAI to turn voice bookings into text, only when used.
  • A messaging provider for sign-in codes, and a payment provider for card payments — your card details never reach our servers.

How we protect data

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS); national ID and date of birth are stored with authenticated encryption; documents are kept in private storage reachable only through authenticated requests; and every administrative access is logged.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see Delete your account. We may keep the minimum booking and financial records for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction, or its deletion. Write to info@shatrat.com.

Children

The service is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes to this policy

We will announce any material change in the app before it takes effect and update the "Last updated" date below.
